freephoneline fee

Post by maximebeauvais »

I'm with freephoneline for more then 2 years now.

I paid 50$ for the key, 25$ for the transfert of #, and 39$ for ATA

Now, I saw on the front page that the fee are 79$ for the key, 25$ for transfert of # and 4.95 monthly fee

What is this monthly fee about????

I don’t pay that.

Fongo Home phone has a $4.95 + tax monthly fee. Freephoneline does not.

They are not the same service.

Actually, Fibernetics, which is a CLEC in Ontario, owns both Fongo and Freephonline. They are essentially treated as being sister companies. It costs money to port phone numbers between these two services.

Fongo Home Phone has a monthly fee, free tech support via tickets online, and 911 fees are included. You are forced to buy their ATA.

Freephoneline has no monthly fee, no official free tech support, and 911 calls cost $35+tax each. You bring your own device/ATA.
The desktop app is also Freephoneline and not Fongo.
