Freephoneline Website

Today when I access http://www.freephoneline.ca and select login I get popup ads coming each time I want to go further. I eventually get into my account but several pops (new tabs) are created on my browser. I normally use Chrome and I even tired it with Internet Explorer with same resulting new tab ads.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue or is it my computer only. I have scanned for Malware and viruses, nothing found, yet same new tabs occurring continues. I dont get it by going to other websites.

This is the url when the tabs end up getting created. I just hoover over the area I want to select and the url - (https://www.freephoneline.ca/pdf/safe.html) is revealed and if selected the new tab is created. Either Freephoneline has gone to this process or their website has been compromised.

Edit: Seems to be a problem if you're not using a script and ad blocker.

So do you get the url when you say input you account details and then log into Freephoneline. The url I posted in my msg shows up when I select an area of the freephoneline welcome page.
I gather you can log into freephoneline site without issues then.

Thanks

I have the same issue. Tested on my smart phone and two home computers.
So, YES...FPL site is COMPROMISED.

Hope support will do something about it.

I'd suggest anyone with a FPL account change their passwords. If someone unauthorized can easily add a script on the log in page of the site, they could have easily stolen user names / emails, data files that might contain encrypted passwords etc. and more from the server or who else knows what.

Fongo Support says online account database wasn't hacked, and nothing needs to be changed.
