Same issue here - i've submitted a ticket. What I don't understand is why doesn't fongo update their status page? https://status.fongo.com/
What's the point of having a status page if they aren't going to use it?

It seems to be used for reporting scheduled maintenance, but I have noticed that everything isn’t reported there. I’m not sure who is responsible for updating that page.
Also, I think Fongo is on a holiday schedule until January 3rd.

Your result may be coincidental (it's not prime time yet, when server load is high).

I received a call at 1:13 p.m. today. It wasn't processed until 1:29 p.m.,16 minutes later, which is still abnormal.

Let's test again between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. EST. I consider those hours prime time.

Yeah, the problem hasn't been fixed yet.

Voicemail left at 5:13 p.m. EST. As of 6:04 p.m. EST I still haven't received it.

It's not listed at https://www.freephoneline.ca/mailbox, which means the audio hasn't even been processed yet.

It's important to test later in the day.

I changed the subject heading for this thread. By "prime time" or "peak time", I mean during periods of high usage.
The only reason the problem isn't easy to reproduce in the morning is because I doubt server load is high.
I have been able to reproduce the problem between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. EST.
It can also be reproduced in afternoons (well, at any time, really) if more calls are active.

That does seem to be the case in most instances, but the very first time I noticed a delayed message was a 10am call where the voicemail and notifications weren't available until 1.30pm.

The issue might be based on incoming call volume (possibly an influx of telemarketing calls dropping to the voicemail system, but I'm just speculating and have no proof at all). That could happen at any time, but prime time is usually in the evening, I expect.

I'm trying to think of situations that would tie up voicemail processing.

The only correlation I can think of that makes any sense to me is peak usage and delayed voicemail processing.

I am having the same delay with my voicemail, from 6 hours to 25 minutes.
Hopefully, FreePhoneLine will eventually get it addressed.
Strange that fax message was delivered immediately (in a couple of minutes)!!

Yesterday's voicemails took 8 hours to arrive. I have bought a digital answering machine.
This has been going on for a month. I wonder if Fongo intends to address it or just leave it as is because it's a free utility (after paying for setup and porting, plus any long-distance credits)?

I was under the impression it's also affecting Fongo Home Phone customers.

I know it's affecting Fongo Mobile.

You're right - just had 2 hour delay with the voicemail delivery

I've been informed that the switch vendor has increased voicemail audio transcoding processing. We're not sure if the problem is resolved yet.
Please test from Tuesday to Thursday from 2 p.m. EST to about 6 p.m. EST.

Thank you

There's still a problem.
Message left at 4:40 p.m. EST
I still haven't received anything at 6:05 p.m. EST.
Nothing is shown at https://www.freephoneline.ca/mailbox.

This situation doesn't make much sense to me. A small, low bitrate 56kbps MP3 file shouldn't require a ton of processing power to produce.

Thanks for the update, Liptonbrisk.
I hope Fongo glances at this website every once in awhile...

A different message was left at 10:27 p.m. EST, and it arrived almost immediately.

It's now 10:35 p.m., and the message left at 4:40 p.m. EST still hasn't arrived. :?

Oddly, this message never arrived.

Today, January 16th, messages were left at 11:43 a.m., 2:08 p.m., 5:51 p.m, 6:19 p.m, and 7:54 p.m. EST
They were all delivered via email immediately.

Possibly messages weren't left during peak incoming call periods (but I'm hoping the problem has been addressed).

I was told that it's best to test from Tuesday to Thursday from 2 p.m. EST until 6 p.m. EST.

Today, January 18th at 5:57 p.m. EST a message was left, and I received the email immediately.

Again, I'm not sure if the message was left during a peak incoming call period.

I left a voicemail at 3:32pm and the voice message was in my email and voicemail in under a minute.
Dare we hope?

Well, there's definitely an improvement. I hope some other users test as well.

It's important to remember that normal for FPL means the Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) takes up to 10 minutes to trigger after a voicemail has been left and up to 10 minutes to disappear after all voicemail has been deleted. That's the way the situation was before call switch platform migration occurred in December.

For those who are testing, make note of the time the message was left and the exact time it was received, please.
Refer to call logs for the time of the call if necessary: https://www.freephoneline.ca/doGetCallLogs.
Pay attention to the "disconnect time". That's when the message was left.
