Hello,
I've been using Freephoneline for a number of years and just over the past couple days my incoming calls stopped working. I have my firewall setup to only allow incoming connections to port 5060 if they are from one of Freephoneline's servers (voip.freephoneline.ca, voip2.freephoneline.ca, voip3.freephoneline.ca, voip4.freephoneline.ca); however, the incoming calls now seem to originate from random IP's over in the EU. They are of course being blocked by pfSense (my firewall) which is why my incoming calls don't work anymore. Is there a new set of servers that Freephoneline is using now?

Re: Incoming calls from new servers?
The RTP IPs are 208.85.218.149 and 208.85.218.150 (which you can't block in order for incoming calls to work). They are located in Ontario.
voip3.freephoneline.ca no longer works, by the way. It appears to be used in the FPL desktop app only, but you can't register using it anymore with an ATA or IP Phone. The server doesn't accept FPL VoIP unlock key SIP credentials.
Also, there was an incoming call issue with voip.freephoneline.ca starting yesterday. Try changing to voip2.freephoneline.ca or voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060.

I checked and everything seems to be working great again this morning. I was (and still am) using voip.freephoneline.ca but it all seems great now.

Okay, I would be interested in knowing if voip.freephoneline.ca continues working for you for incoming calls after 5 p.m. EST when (I'm guessing) server load increases.Dude wrote:

Re: Incoming calls from new servers?
Did some testing throughout the day and all calls came through successfully on voip.freephoneline.ca. Maybe I was just lucky.
I tried at 3 pm, 5 pm and 9pm.
Thanks for the tip though; I'll keep voip2.freephoneline.ca ready if I do experience any issue.

You’re welcome!
Yes, I’ve been testing voip.freephoneline.ca since 10 a.m. EST, and it’s been working fine today for incoming calls.
