call ending upon answer

Post by akram »

Hello, I have been using the service for some time now. Recently I started facing calls I started being ended after few seconds of being answered by the other party. The softphone application works fine from my PC but not with my ATA anymore. Anything changed in the service that may cause this?
Thanks

This is interesting - but it's good to know that the softphone works, that'll help us rule it out as service related, and hopefully down to being hardware related.

What ATA are you using? Was it purchased from us, or third-party?
Any recent changes in your network? ISP?

Hi Steve,
I have just received my SIP config and bought an ATA box (unlocked Linksys SPA-2100)
and I experiment exactly the same problem. If I get a call on my SPA or my iPhone SIP client I can speak forever, but if I initiate the call from one of these two, the call just last approximately one minute.

My SPA-2100 and iPhone are nated behind a router (DGND 3300) but I don't think that this is an issue because the audio is working fine both ways.

What kind of configuration you put in your NAT/router to accomodate Freephoneline? DHCP reservation? Manual port forwarding? STUN? UPnP?

Hi Steve,
After I posted my message, service returned to normal that is why I did not answer but today it is back disconnecting same as before. So jJust after the phone is answered by few seconds it hangs up and I get ready tone!
The ATA is not purchased from you but it is sp 4220 from OCTTEL. Configuration of course purchased. Would it be ISP problem if the softphone works? Nothing changed from my side at all. Also I am not sure it is hardware because also it is sometimes working fine. What do you think I should do?

Do you have the same problem if you use the freephoneline softphone? That would definitely narrow it down to being hardware/network or not.
