I seem to have some issues when I place calls to automated systems using the softphone.
First issue is that I sometimes hear the connection "ding" but cannot hear anything else after that.
Second issue is that when I call it offers me options to select. If I press anything on my keypad, the tone is sent but the automated system does not recognize it.
I end up having to use my landline to call since I can't proceed through the automated system.
Thanks.
Gary

Re: Problem when calling automated systems
Hm, in the settings, what is the DTMF type set at? It should be Tone not SIP (tone is like a regular landline, SIP is a digital signal that will only be recognized by other SIP systems)

As I mentioned in an earlier bug report post, I can't get access to the Settings menu.
Thanks.

Re: Problem when calling automated systems
Hi,
I have experienced the problem of not being able to access the Settings menu on vista. You must run the softphone software with vista administrator privileges in order to get access to the settings. To do so, right click on the softphone icon, select properties, select the Compatibility tab, and check the option "Run this program as an administrator".
I also have the same issue as you do where the tones you send when calling an automated system do not appear to be recognized. I have however noticed that the problem appears to be that the tones generated are somehow distorted as opposed to not going through at all. I manage to get a response from the automated system (though the response I get has noting to do with the tones I entered). IE it's as if the response system is picking up tones but they are not comming as they should and are distorted on that end. The automated system is interpreting them as best it can but it still ends up ending in incorrect sequences.
Anyone working with automated systems successfully through the softphone?
Thanks.

Re: Problem when calling automated systems
And by the way, I am configured for tone under the Settings menu, not SIP.
