I posted a while back about this problem
Every 2 days I would have to change the port from 5060 to 6060.
I tried rebooting all devices. As soon as I change the port it works. I change it back to the original port number just to test. It doesn't work. But 2 days later I would need to switch back.
Is Rogers blocking these ports randomly?
Or is the fpl servers are too busy?
I been with fpl for a long time.
Or is my router cramping out?
This stuff every 2 day issue started over a month ago.
Before that I would have to reboot every month
I need help

Re: Can't connect to login server
It sound's as if it's your router crapping out the NAT tables in it. What kind of router do you have? Perhaps it's DD-WRT or Tomato flashable.

Re: Can't connect to login server
Hi
It is a linksys wrt54gl
I use to flash it with DD-WRT then i changed to Tomato
Tomato is really good.
Just to be sure with my wrt54g i even changed the capacitors because i thought it was unstable.
I even tried DMZ on the PAP2T device. I even forwarded the ports to that device. No go.
I don't think it is the router because if i totally power it off i go back and try the same port it is down.
If i try a different port it is working.
Only possible thing is Rogers or FPL. But i don't hear anybody else with the same issue from FPL.
So i am really thinking it is Rogers.

Re: Can't connect to login server
I have a friend who uses a PAP2T on the rogers modem without any problems. He has not had to switch ports once. I set it up for him and it has been as good as gold ever since.
Probably not the answer you are looking for, but I don't think Rogers does anything to the ports, at least not in Ottawa, I guess they could in other parts.

Re: Can't connect to login server
Is your cable modem acting as a modem/router? and double NATting is playing games with you? Do you get a public IP within the router?

Re: Can't connect to login server
My cable modem is acting only as a modem. My wrt54g wan is getting a public ip.
