You might be in a rare situation.

You should immediately phone customer support directly. You could maybe also PM Steve (Fongo_Steve) here. He usually looks things through quickly.

It is possible that since the request had been made, they cut the live on the same day so that when the number is captured, it could be used immediately with our service.

Is the phone working on our service now? (sorry, saw the post was for the 26th and today is the 27th)

Hi KillerJay

How did the number porting go. I am also with primus and thinking of porting the number. Please share your experience on leaving the primus. How long did it take. did you get any billing surprises with primus for departing.

I am using FPL and will like to keep my FPL number, so I need to register a new number. Setup the dry loop for the DSl and then I would be able to make a request.

Talk to your ISP about your plans, you may find they are able to time everything to work out for you.
I managed this with my uncle's port, we got the dry-loop up, the number ported out, and the FPL ported-in all at roughly the same time without any service interruptions.

There was an hour or two where I could tell the number was in the middle of transition, but our internet stayed connected and the phone worked adequately. I did call support during this time, just to check that they had in fact received the number from Bell and that was the cause of the service oddities I was experiencing.
