toll free # problem(I can hear them, but they can not hear me

Post by watchit »

This problem just started three days ago, and before everything was perfect.
I use FPL softphone
When I called either 1-888-999-2321(virginmobile) or 1-888-310-4722(HSBC), I can hear them but they can not hear me. I have not problem to call other phone with 647 and 416 area code phone.

I removed the FPL then reinstall FPL again in my computer, but the problem still exist.
Any setting I should configure?
Thanks

You most likely need to forward the correct ports in your router..

Softphone Configuration

What do I need to do to get the softphone functioning properly after installing it?
Our softphone operates on UDP ports 1300, 13001, 6060 and 6061. Please make sure these ports are opened in any firewall, internet security suites and hardware routers you may have in your home.

When I call somebody, only one party can hear (one way audio)
Please make sure UDP ports 13000, 13001, 6060 and 6061 are opened in your firewall and internet security suite. If you have a router, you will also need to forward these ports to the computer with the softphone on.

I've got "No connection to the server", what is the problem?
We need to know if this problem occurs every time when you start Freephoneline.ca software. Please restart your computer and softphone several times to see if the problem persists. If so press "test connection" button and try the recommended proceedure. After taking these steps please send us the information with the results.

Can I change the primary port of the softphone?
New in version 2.1.0 you can now change the softphone’s primary port in the settings menu.

I have deleted your other three posts about this issue - I advise to refrain from spamming the forum when you have issues. We understand they may be frustrating, but you will get much faster and friendlier help with only one posting about it ;)
