Re: No Incoming Audio for new "VOIP unlock key"
This is PURE NONSENSE
EVERY New Free Phone Line fails to work when a VOIP UNLOCK CODE IS Purchased.
You MUST ask for Free Phone Line to "Verify Account and Force a Registration"
This appears to be an unannounced security measure for new accounts
that drives new users crazy and FPL nuts with support emails.
It is offensive that they tell people its the ports on the router or modem need opening.
I cannot imagine the incredible number of hours that FPL cause new customers to
spend messing and screwing up modems and routers when its ALL the problem of FPL.
I've activated dozens of FPL accounts and had this problem with EVERY single new account.
This is what you get back
Hi there,
I have verified account 1xxx xxx xxxx forced a registration.
Please power off ATA for 5 minutes and power back on after 5 minutes.
Let us know if there are any issues.
Thanks,

Re: No Incoming Audio for new "VOIP unlock key"
It is not a security measure - as the accounts do work if you have an ATA that can traverse NAT. I think the Grandstream HT5xx is the most popular series of ATAs that cannot do this. (HT7xx can do it with the latest firmware upgrade.)Ramjet555 wrote:This appears to be an unannounced security measure for new accounts
I updated the HT702 thread in the Device Configuration Sharing forum with instructions to solve this problem: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=16344mennis wrote:Changed nothing accept the login information back to my account - one way audio....

Re: No Incoming Audio for new "VOIP unlock key"
Hi,
I have the exact same problem. I purchased a new voip unlock key and I do not hear the other person during incoming calls but they can hear me. Outgoing calls work fine. I tried all the servers (voip,voip2 and voip4) and they have the same problem. The only one that works fine is the voip3 server. Can someone please help i submitted a ticket online but got an automated response that they do not support voip unlock key and the ticket is closed. Thanks.

Good to hear you're back online. Hopefully this was just fluke and other users are not also affected.
