1-888-619-15xx. The call does not go through at all.

I've just made a few test calls to 888-619-1212, and it went through fine. Could you PM me your number so I can see what is happening when you dial it?

Everyting is working fine now. I had to change my dialplan back to the one suggested by ffl and I also had to change the Block CID Serv: to "no".

Apparently the 1-888 number was rejecting anonymous callers.

Thanks again for your extremly prompt service. I had a response within minutes!

You're welcome, and glad to know you got it resolved! Yes I always found it odd, ironic even how telemarketers and other 800 numbers block anonymous callers...

That's incredibly common actually - since a lot of 800 carriers are region-specific, and since they pay for your call, they must be able to see where you're calling from to make sure you're in an area they will accept and pay for calls from. Ie. a Canadian company with an 800 number would have no reason to accept USA calls if their company doesn't do business in the USA.

I was under the belief that they would use ANI (at least for billing purposes), but CLDI shouldn't matter.

I believe ANI is able to see through the mask of Unknown or Blocked CID's, I think it's safe to assume they use CLDI. But again based on the provider they may use both.
