My sip device is spa2102, I began to use it this week. Outbound calls are good. but cannot reveive any inbound calls.
Only in the situation that after I hang up a outbound call, and call incound immediately, the phone can ring and inbound call works.
Also, when I pick up the phone, it is not a continous tone in the first 3 seconds.
Thanks.
Incoming calls do not work

Re: Incoming calls do not work
Hi Rich,
How do you have things plugged in? I'm thinking this might be a port forwarding issue that needs to be setup in the internet router.
Try plugging the ATA directly into your modem and see if it works that way. If so, then we've narrowed down that it's definitely port forwarding.

Re: Incoming calls do not work
I had something like this with my PAP2T where I could always dial out, but after a while I could not get any calls coming in and it would go straight to answer phone.Rich wrote:My sip device is spa2102, I began to use it this week. Outbound calls are good. but cannot reveive any inbound calls.

I did post a bug report about this, but did not get any answer. What I did in the end was connect it to a 3CX PBX, but what you might find that helps you is to change the registration time down to 60 seconds, rather than the 3600 seconds that was recommended for the PAP2T. I found that registration was being lost over the 3600, but when I changed it to 60 then everything worked OK. My PBX is also set at 60 seconds and I have not had a problem as yet.
I think what happens is when you make an outgoing call, it reconnects to the server so it knows where to send the incoming calls. But over a time of not doing anything it seems to forget. Try 60 seconds and see if that helps.

Re: Incoming calls do not work
I believe there is an option that says something to the effect of "Re-Register whenever I make a call"...

Re: Incoming calls do not work
Devices are plugged as the following: spa2102 -> Router ->ADSL modem, registration time is 3600 seconds.
If spa2102 is plugged directly into ADSL modem, inbound calls can work with the 3600 seconds registration time. However, it also works as per Jake's solution, that is, the registration expiry time is set to be 60 seconds with spa2102 being behind the router.
Can this issue be explained by tech support people from freephoneline?
Thanks for all.

I'm plagued with this issue too! My registration seems to get lost and I can't receive any calls. I will try the 60 second solution.Rich wrote:Devices are plugged as the following: spa2102 -> Router ->ADSL modem, registration time is 3600 seconds.

Re: Incoming calls do not work
set to 180.. it's in your SIP setting tab when you log in.
it should work before 180 sec but for some reason on my end i have the power cycle it
if power is lost or the network goes down, just power cycle the ATA when the network is up. it should work before 180 sec but for some reason on my end i have the power cycle it
