SPA122 on Rogers - No incoming audio
I set up an SPA122 ATA for my friend, who's using it on Rogers Internet with FPL. The ATA is connected to an SMC modem/router gateway supplied by Rogers. I used similar settings in the SPA122 as in my own SPA2102 on FPL, but my provider is Bell Internet and I never had any issues with my own lines.
My friend's system worked like a charm for three days, with absolutely no issues. However, after a brief period of Internet downtime at noon on Wednesday, no incoming audio can be heard any longer (voice or tones) on calls made to or received from providers other than FPL (PSTN, cellular, etc.). Calls within the FPL network are perfectly fine.
What could have happened after the Internet downtime on Wednesday and how could this issue be fixed?
Thank you for your help.
P.S. He used to use the softphone application successfully before and now, after Wednesday, there is no incoming audio on the softphone either.

My parents issue is exactly as yours but using PAP2T-NA. It has been for almost a week now.

Re: SPA122 on Rogers - No incoming audio
UPDATE:
I suggested to my friend to change the proxy server from voip.freephoneline.ca to voip2.freephoneline.ca and it seems that this solved the problem.
So, it appears that the issue is at FPL's end but the weird thing is that my own FPL numbers work very well using the voip.freephoneline.ca proxy server. I am not on Rogers Cable like my friend, though, I am on Bell Internet.
FPL should investigate and find out why this problem occurs. It's not fun when it happens.

The timing of the probem appears similar to my friend's. Try to change the proxy server and report back with the outcome.Mishail wrote:My parents issue is exactly as yours but using PAP2T-NA. It has been for almost a week now.

Re: SPA122 on Rogers - No incoming audio
Well, let's hope that someone from FPL will acknowledge that there are problems with the voip.freephoneline.ca SIP proxy and will confirm when the issues are fixed or indicate an ETA for resolving the problems. It's unfortunate that we have to debug the issues ourselves while what all the FPL CSRs here can tell us is to check our settings. This, despite us telling them that the system was working before and we did not change any settings in our equipment when it stopped working.

The same here for my mum's phone. After I changed the proxy server to voip2.freephoneline.ca, it is working now.

Fortunately there is a backup server voip2.freephoneline.ca. I wish they get voip.freephoneline.ca fixed before voip2.freephoneline.ca goes down.

SPA122 on Rogers - No incoming audio
Hello,
I've been using FPL for a while now (more than 2 years), and since yesterday, I'm not able to receive any calls on my ATA via pbxes.org.
I can do outgoing calls no problems.
Is there any changes in the settings that I should be aware of ?
Or the problem is on the FPL side?
Let me know.

Re: SPA122 on Rogers - No incoming audio
Hello...
I found that most of the accounts with clearpointel.ca that I have got the same issue (only revieve incoming call; can not call out and can not hear people from out side)
I try to change to SIP server: voip.clearpointel.ca OR voip2.freephoneline.ca: It works fine.
So I can say that any one who have the accounts with clearpointel.ca have the trouble connection with voip.freephoneline.ca.
Are your accounts also with Clearpointel.ca ?

Well I solved the problem and it was not the Sip Alg function, it had to do with the Bell firewall and now all is working fine! I do thank you for all your posts and help! Have a great day!
