What do you mean by 1 line? Do you mean you only have one telephone connected to the ATA?
Or do you have a telephone that supports two lines?
The call waiting signal is sent to your OBi200's phone port. Beyond that, the rest is up to (handled by) your phone and has nothing to do with your ATA nor FPL.
if someone calls me when i'm already on the phone it goes directly to my voicemail.
It shouldn't unless you have Rings Before Voicemail set to 1 in your FPL account portal--or unless you call waiting disabled in your ATA.
Also Call Waiting won't work if Follow Me is enabled due to the 2 channel limit being exceeded.
But in that case, you won't get voicemail. The caller will get a message stating that the user is unreachable at this time.
1 a. Login at
https://www.freephoneline.ca/voicemailSettings
b. Check to ensure "Rings before voicemail" is set to something greater than 1. (ex. try "4").
c. Login at
https://www.freephoneline.ca/followMeSettings. Disable Follow Me.
2) If you used the Obitalk web portal (
http://www.obitalk.com) to configure your ATA, keep in mind that you must continue using it to configure your ATA. Otherwise whatever settings you change will eventually be overwritten by what you previously entered at obitalk.com anyway. If you wish to disable this behaviour, dial ***1. Enter that IP address into a web browser. Navigate to System Management-->OBiTalk Provisioning-->select Disabled for the method. Save. Reboot ATA. Now obitalk.com won't overwrite whatever changes you make via the device's interface (via IP address).
Pick one method (obitalk.com) or the other (IP address of device) for changing device settings. But do not use both methods.
Take a look at this picture for reference:

That grey cog wheel with the "E" is for the expert configuration menu.
It shows when logging in at
http://www.obitalk.com, selecting "Edit Profile" on the left, then scrolling down
under "Advanced Options" and finally selecting "Enable OBi Expert Entry from Dashboard."
3) Navigate to Physical Interfaces-->PHONE Port-->Calling Features
a) Ensure that CallWaitingEnable is checked (or enabled) under the Value column
b) Ensure that CallWaitingCallerIDEnable is checked or enabled under the Value column
4) Navigate to Voice Services-->SP Service where you configured FPL-->Calling Features-->MaxSessions
MaxSessions needs to be 2.
Is there a way to setup my ata for ringing on the second line ?
Again, the call waiting signal is sent to your OBi200's phone port. Beyond that, the rest is up to (handled by) your phone and has nothing to do with FPL nor your ATA, unless you're configuring it as a mini-PBX, which I doubt:
