Newbie question: Can I text landlines

Post by aprilbennett »

Good morning,

I am considering signing up for the Add on text messaging plan. Can you tell me if this plan allows for texting to landlines at no additional charge,. over and above the subscription cost?

Thank you

How would you be able to receive a text on a landline? If you talking about a mobile phone that's a different situation.

The text would be converted to voicemail by the landline service: https://support.bell.ca/mobility/rate_p ... _to_use_it

I have no idea if that’s even supported. You might want to submit a ticket and ask: https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.

Short answer is no. But as said, there are some receiving carriers that can convert a text message to voice, but Fongo has no say in this. All the Fongo package can do is send text messages. If the receiving party cannot accept text messages, there is not much Fongo can do.
