Fongo does nothing to address the issue.
Fongo does not reply to PM regarding this issue.
The problem started with the new Fongo software and since last month, no new version have been made available to us.
The problem started when Fongo took control of Freephoneline.
It seems that account needs to be reset manually by Fongo in order to work.
As far I can see, only clients with paid routers and full subscriptions have received help to date.

Bottom line, I suspect all accounts are deactivated and accounts are reactivated only when Fongo staff decides you are bringing enough $ to the company.

Please Fongo prove me wrong and fix your software or do a global reset/reactivate on all accounts to solve our problem.

I have the same problem and I believe this might be their strategy. I paid the service fee to FPL. I am very disappointed about their response not to resolve these issues. I sent a pm to the support and see what happen!

no audio most likely that you have router problem with your ATA box

Hi everyone,

Actually, I did contact Support and I got a quick response despite not being a very profitable customer. I apologize for suggesting they were using this as a way to screen out their customers. This is simply not the case. They are just overwhelmed.

Having said that, I will share what I have learned so far. Everyone with no audio, please:

Check that your ports are really opened with the program PFportchecker.exe. Google it or use the link provided in a previous post. If your computer is 64bit version, you will need a special version called PFPortChecker1.0.39.exe. Ports 5060-5061, 6060-6061, 13000-13001 (all UPD) need to be opened. I do not think they all need to be opened but with these, you cover all possibilities.

ONCE you have verified your ports are REALLY opened and you still have no audio, stop beating yourself, you must PM support. It means that you are not registered automatically because a field is missing information in your account. Only support can fix that.

Now I have audio but only for 30 to 32 seconds period. Past that point, I loose all audio. It has to do with being unable to specify a STUN server with the software version (well, that's what I understood from support but I may be wrong). Apparently, if you have an ATA, it is easily fixed. Now my focus will switch to another thread related to that problem.

Bottom line, Fongo should have never replace the Freephoneline software with the Fongo version without having tested it in a lab. As a matter of fact, they should reactivate the Freephoneline version immediately until they resolve the bugs. The support staff is dealing with this buggy piece of software and are going nuts trying to help us. They must also be loosing customers too.

Hope this will help a few and I offer my warmest thanks to a very dedicated support team dealing with this poorly tested piece of software. After all, it is NOT normal that so many customers have problems following a software upgrade.

LOL. I guess your computer job is different than mine. I got the soft phone working. However, the software has a lot of room for improvements. Connection Test screen is deceiving. There is no Port 13000 being used. It needs a way to route audio in/out to a specific device/usb headset.

Just now, my problem has been fixed.
Thanks to Fongo Support to 'force register' the connection.
I am not sure if there is any way we can avoid this from ever happening again.

thanks Fongo Support,
