Re: Voicemail MWI System Updates
Hi FONGO_mike,
When I check VM using my landline phone connected with ATA, the message received time is always announced as UTC time, not EDT. Is there anyway that user can change this in the online account, or this has to be done by FONGO.

Re: Voicemail MWI System Updates
So you've checked that you have no VMail either through *98 or through the website (check both ways just in case.)gabisa60 wrote:At this moment I am not able to recover: I am resetting the flag in the ATA and after a while the indicator comes ON again and again!
You manually clear the MWI from your ATA, and after the update interval it starts flashing again even though no new messages have been received?
(Just clarifying the case here.)
If this understanding is correct then it definitely something to call support about, kind of thing that usually requires escalation to a higher tier unfortunately. But when running my IP-PBX and I see similar activity to this, it's usually easiest for me to recreate the user's mailbox to clear the issue.
Of course don't assume server side issues EVER until you've tested and ensure that your ATA is cleared and that the issue is not springing from the client-side. When you have an hour you can do without the phone, log into your ATA and disable registration for the line your account is on. Unplug for a minute to clear RAM, plug back in, and wait to see if the MWI respawns even through you're not registering with the VoIP server. Assuming it stays down, then it's not hardware issue. Re-enable the registration, wait for the MWI to mysteriously pop-up, verify that there are no VM (again both through *98 and through web interface.) Then call support.
Most of the testing in this scenario is about waiting I realize, but creating a scenario where that's an absence of the issue is just as important as re-creation of the issue.

Re: Voicemail MWI System Updates
I have the same issue with my phone number.
I activated the syslog in my ATA adapter and I discovered that the server send the indication that there is a message waiting, but the mailbox is empty.
I called the technical support and because I did not baught the ATA adapter from fongo, they refuse to serve me. I baught the VoIP unlock key!
I installed a syslog server on my computer and enabled the syslog diagnostic on my ATA.
Here is the message I receive from freephoneline (fongo) server.
If a clear the Voicemail indicator flag on my ATA adapter, it comes back on after few minutes. If I leave it, the message indicator never disapears (I tested for 2 days!)
The server says "Message-Waiting: Yes". How can my ATA knows when there is really a message in the inbox?
I think the problem come from freephoneline servers. Everything works fine except the Voicemail indicator.
Please help

Re: Voicemail MWI System Updates
This morning, no more Voicemail indicator.
It's good because there is no message in my mailbox.
I did not let my syslog run all night long, so I don't know how long it took to fongo to clear the message indicator.
I will leave a message this morning, listen it and check how long it takes to fongo to clear the voicemail status.

Re: Voicemail MWI System Updates
I tested this morning and the VM indicator works fine.
Here is my test;
7h13 - Message left
7h14 - SIP NOTIFY: VMI notification ON - "Messages-Waiting: Yes"
7h17 - Message took/erased
7h17 - SIP NOTIFY: VMI notification OFF - "Messages-Waiting: No"
I don't know what Fongo did but the VMI works perfect this morning.

Re: Voicemail MWI System Updates
For me this issue has come back but from a different point. I deleted a fax message and now the indicator still exists. Will it ever go away this time? I have tried to reboot and recycle the device to make it think it has no messages but to no avil. Anyone know what to do?

Re: Voicemail MWI System Updates
Can we have an update about the Message Waiting bug?
I am currently suffering from this bug. I deleted my fax message and four hours later my SPA112 still marks:
Message Waiting: Yes

This was already fixed a while ago. Perhaps you can try to review your config- I can assist if required.
Send me a PM with the account details so I can investigate account.
Also, if you have submitted a support ticket for this issue, please include the ticket# in your PM as well.
Thanks,

Re: Voicemail MWI System Updates
Well "Fongo Support", it's common to take 24 to 72hr for the MWI to turn off after earasing all message. It' was working well for many months, but since end of april it's been glitchy.
Thanks for your work
