I note the following under 464D Fibernetics Corporation

705-707 North Bay ON 888 map
705-815 Chelmy ON 888 map
705-820 Azilda ON 888 map
705-823 Blezard ON 888 map
705-824 Capreol ON 888 map
705-829 Coniston ON 888 map
705-830 Garson ON 888 map
705-831 Hanmer ON 888 map
705-832 Levack ON 888 map
705-836 Lively ON 888 map
705-885 Sudbury ON 888

Though we may own numbers in all exchanges they are not all registered under Freephoneline.ca

Anything is possible, but remember Fibernetics is a CLEC that supplies full service lines to businesses etc. So while it may own these blocks, we don't know that they intend to send 'em down the line to Freephoneline.ca for use, I suspect the best way to ensure that some of these number blocks do make it to FPL is to get everyone you know to show their support of the FPL system being provided in those areas.

If we can show that it will be used, especially as home-phone replacements with ATA devices, then the corporate bean-counters, err I mean accountants will be able to make cost/profit analysis projections. If they see the potential for every student in Northbay and Sudbury for instance to be using freephoneline, that will make them see dollar signs in the way of termination fees.

Let's say between those two cities, part-time residence/full-time students = 10,000 people. (This number may be completely ficticious.) Let's say that on average you have 60% of students in daily contact with the family "back home" (Remember these are very remote college/universities for how prestigious they are.) And of those, 10% are in contact 3 or more times per day.

We can then assume 6,000-9,000 terminations based on this user base, per day.
(Just between the student and home, never mind other students/businesses around town who might be in contact, preferably calling in.)
With the ease of using FPL for making these calls the family back home is now likely to consider the switch as it will save even further money for the family, which means you now have two households per student likely to be terminating calls on a daily basis.

Even if a single termination is 0.007cents (again a completely ficticious number, I don't feel like doing research this morning.) You can see how that would quickly add up, and assuming the "back home" family switched you have to consider the average number of calls any given number receives on a daily bases.

Now, I am NOT saying we should spam the boards with request for specific locations, or spam Fibernetics to supply freephoneline (there is a level of autonomy between the companies no doubt.) But perhaps one thread on the board, dedicated to North Bay and/or Sudbury, and get every single person you know in that area who's willing to use FPL as a primary means of communciation to sign up and post a simple "I agree, we need this service here." Then you might just find that, assuming there is space in the number blocks to be given to FPL, it becomes that much more likely to occur.

I note that Sudbury has been added to list shown under FAQ but not to the regular list of cities.

Calls are working but the sound is very broken up.

Any advice?

I've been using a Sudbury number for well over a month or so and I haven't had any major issues. I've only been having problems with my CallerID NOT being displayed on both Bell and Telus's network. (still bugging them about that.. still no fix!)

I was calling two diff numbers from Ottawa. One in Sudbury another in Garson. I tired them again today and everything seems fine.

P.S might be a good idea to get this modified if all these towns have been added.. ie.. Sudbury, North Bay, etc....http://www.freephoneline.ca/ldServices

Yep - that's up to date on the new site that's around the corner ;) I'll see if they have the time to update the current one in the meantime too

Your BC coverage is pretty thin. Any chance you'll be adding Kelowna and the rest of the Okanagan Valley anytime soon?

Hi,
I can't call Calgary number 587-223 to 587-225. I got message "no sufficient fund".
This should be free destination because it's in Calgary (Telus assigned number)

Hi Sukasem,
Please try now, they should be working. It looks like these are newer exchanges which were missing in our routing.

It would depend on when we are able to start constructing our network there - unfortunately I don't have any ETA on anything at this time.

Is there any reason why (902) 800-xxxx is not added yet? I can dial most of the other Halifax exchanges here http://www.localcallingguide.com/lca_ex ... xch=129080

Just an edit to my earlier post that said we couldn't cover this - we do have some limited free calling coverage in this region I have found out. I'll have 902-800 added into the tariffs.
Do note that only free calling is provided to this region, we are not able to provide phone numbers there yet.
