Hi. I have two major problems with my freephone.
First, I cannot use a personal greeting message. I can record it but it will never get to play when someone calls me. I recorded the message, pressed #. But when someone calls, only the standard message will play. I tried this several times without success. Can someone help me with this ? I will not use this phone with the standard greeting message playing.
Second, the voicemail to email feature will not work. When I try to enable the forward in the "change details" page of my web account, it says "Your change have been changed successfully". But the option is back to "none" instead of "forward".
The personal greeting and the follow me are both important features that should work as stated on your website. Please help me find a solution for these problems. I have tried contacting the support over the phone but they were not able to help me.
Thank you.
Jonathan

Re: 2 Major problems...
Call your voice mail box from softphone *98
Press 3-3-2-2 to record your personal greeting. The recorded greeting will be played back to you. Confirm it with "#" and hang up. Then next time people call you and you are not answering the phone, it will play your personal greeting instead of standard greeting.
I just tried it, it works perfectly on my account. If it still not working PM Steve or Kris with your number for further investigation.
Regarding the voice mail forwarding, try use "copy" instead. It is always work. I also tried to change my to "forward" it works also.
Hmmm! You better PM Steve and Kris for your problem. It should your individual account set up problem instead of a general problem.

Re: 2 Major problems...
I am newly registered on FPL and I have the exactly same problem as "joenathan" encountered.
I think it is really a big bug for newly registered users after the server upgrade.
They cannot set the voice mail forwarding instruction.
They cannot set their own personal greeting.
I know friend of my registered before the upgrade and they have no problem with the above two setting.
FPL, please urgently check this out and get a quick fix.
These two features are very important to all of us!!

Re: 2 Major problems...
I also discovered that I could not set the PIN to my voice mail box successfully.
I used my softphone with *98 to setup my PIN, it said accepted. However, when I tried to call remotely using the local access number say 778-803-4001 (FPL Vancouver local access number for voice mail). After entered the phone number I entered the PIN I setup in my softphone and it is not recognized as a valid password.
Another major bug that newly registered users cannot access their voice mail remotely.
I confirmed with my friends registered before Oct 6, they have no problem setting and changing the PIN.
FPL, please, please, please help to patch these bugs immediately!!!

Re: 2 Major problems...
Everyone with the voicemail not saving settings problem should contact FPL support via email and open a ticket for that. It's an issue in their system and it's fixed on a per-user basis. I've had this problem happen to me on the previous system when I moved my phone lines around. Voicemail worked, but I couldn't save new settings, and couldn't change the email forward settings.
