Count me in!

I just got FPL's great help to fix my newly created account problem of not able to change the voicemail forwarding setting.

Just got enough time to go into my voice mail today Oct 19, 2010 around noon time PDT to change my PIN and then.... got the "Please hang up and try again" message when I login via *98 again trying to record my personal greeting.

It has been a few hours and no fix so far.

FPL, did you aware the problem??

Intersetingly, I've been receiving voicemails for days without me ever noticing that I can't reach *98 at all. I always get my messages from the email copies, but tonight I said "what the heck" and dialed *98. Please hang up and try again.

I know I'm contributing nothing to this thread, but I'm bored. :) (Or, rather, I'm procrastinating for actual stuff I ought to be doing.)

Just noticed that as of 09:05 p.m. PDT Oct 19, 2010, the voice mail problem resolved and the *98 and various features restored.

In summary:

I can record my greeting and tested

The greeting was played successfully now when caller hit my voicemail.

The remote VM access also work and no "Please hang up and try again" anymore.

My voice account is now protected by my set PIN!

I can see the voice messages in my "in box" on line.

The only outstanding issue is the "Voice Mail" indicator on the softphone still not working (Not Flashing) when there is a voice mail.

You have to proactively check the voicemail.

Thank you for FPL's hard work in extended hours. Good quality of customer services. :D

Some work was being done on the new system overnight, as well as late yesterday afternoon. There was one small voicemail interruption during this time, as some of you noticed (unplanned).

We are getting closer to a permanent fix for MWI and those of you who still can't make changes to your voicemail settings. We will update as usual.

Does not appear to be working on my side... I cannot even select the "Enable voicemail to email" option, as it keeps getting back to "none" when I save. My personal message is never applied neither. I always get the original message...

Well this morning, as I was passing by my phone, it noticed something very interesting: it was blinking! Yes! MWI works!

However, the ATA still indicates it's receiving errors 501. So I checked the logs:

Code: Select all

For a brief moment at 1:49 this morning, I got the response! *ONE* response. After that, it's back to 501's.

But maybe that doesn't mean much, as I seem to get this response once a day, at night.

Code: Select all

The problem appears to be fixed now and I am receiving voicemail normally. Many problems with FREEPHONELINE seem temporary and they are really good at correcting them if we just have some patience. All in all, I think they offer outstanding service for free and I consider myself to be very lucky. Thanks to the entire team!!

This actually is happening to me right now. Calling *98 I get "Please try again" and calling the remote VM number (289-635-300 if it matters) results in "This account number is not valid". Sent an e-mail into support about 15min ago.

I'm having this problem tonight. Went to check my VM and got that message. I'm glad I get my VM CC'd via email.
