cable modem with videotron
i have spa3102, and bought the config. file. the ATA is connected to my cable modem, all the setting are ok, but there is no dial tone, is there any special settings in case of cable modems?

Is the line enabled in the SPA? If configuration is correct, you'll usually get a dial-tone at least. What lights are on on the front of the device?

They may be blocking certain protocols or protocol's features, because they offer they own IP telephone service and you are depriving them of revenue. I would call their technical support to see if this is the case, and if they say they will not support it, switch to Bell's fibre service. It's cheaper, and their charges for when you go over your bandwidth allocation are capped at $30 contrary to videotron which has no ceiling on extra fees.
