Long Distance Packages No longer offered? Two-Stage Dialing?

I noticed that FreePhoneLine.ca has changed since I have last visited. I no longer see the long distance packages that where available before, such as "Free Calling to all of Canada" and "Free Calling to The World". What happened to them? Now it seems that the only thing available is pre-paid long distance minutes. Accourding to your rates, I would have to pay 2 cents per minute to call anywhere in Canada not covered by your Free Calling Area. Where did the long distance packages go?

Also, If memory serves correctly, when you where offering those long distance packages they required two stage dialing. If I purchase pre-paid long distance minutes, will I still be required to use two-stage dialing from my ATA? Such as having to dial an access number before i can actually make phone calls outside of the free calling area?

They have switched to a voucher system now. I don't know if FPL do the LD packages anymore. It could have been moved solely to this part of Fibernetics http://www.worldline.ca/index.php

With the voucher you do not have two stage dialling, but with worldline you will.

I believe there was some confusion with Admin's last post - I have removed it and the subsequent posts.
Jake is right - if you still are tied to two-stage, then you could certainly use Worldline.

As we work towards developing the freephoneline offerings, we have moved to direct-dial long distance as we found it was what the majority of people wanted as they don't need to remember or use an access number every time. The voucher system also allows calling to all countries in the world, rather than being limited to lower cost countries like we had to when using the unlimited two-stage system.

have the outage issue in the last few weeks regarding "credit" when dialing out and people calling in going to continue? My wife is really getting upset... if I had purchased say a 20 voucher would my phone have gone on the blitz?

This issue was resolved a mere few hours after it happened.

It has happened a few times now... exact same issue, the " you do not have enough credit" message, what I am wondering is .... if i purchase a voucher will it not happen to my line.. I absolutely love this service I have replace the home phone now and barring some minor issue and an occasional router reboot has worked relatively flawless. I have paid for worldline dsl to help support your endeavorer also. I am just wondering if purchase say two 20 vouchers ( on each of my lines) will that provisioning issue not effect me if it happens again?

You must not be married, caus ei'll tell you now..

a - have a wife
b - no phone to talk to people on (5 minutes or 5 hours)
c - you are in the dog house

and thats the way it is lol

basically i am wondering if put some vouchers on the line (when that error is coming up) will all be good?

When you have it happen next, would you mind PMing me your number, the number you were calling, and the time of the call with the error? I might need to look into your account specifically to see what's happening when you're getting the error.

If you have vouchers on your account, when you get that error, it will likely charge the voucher for the call. I'd like to find out why your account is doing this though, so we can eliminate the need to refund you for these charges that shouldn't be happening :)
