This is a list of all the free call numbers we can call. http://forum.freephoneline.ca/viewtopic ... =720#p3367 Anything else outside of these numbers requires us to buy a long distance voucher from FPL.

In that list I see 604, but only 604-283, not 604-310. So this number will be classed as long distance and require a voucher to dial. They are probably very close to each other, but it goes by what numbers are on each node point of the telephone network. In theory your neighbour could be on a different exchange and thus be classed as long distance, even though he is 20 feet away.

thats incorrect Jake. The list you linked to are numbers that you can have as a FPL user. 310 - numbers are geographical regional numbers often used by businesses that dont require a area code dialed first. They usually only work with the big paid providers.

example in metro vancouver: 310-spot dials White Spot Restaurants
toronto: 310-Junk dials a Junk Removal company

All 310 numbers will also have a local number - so you can still get in touch with these business', you just can't use the 310 number (as was mentioned here earlier - those are geographical numbers usually only offered by large paid providers)

Yes I had problems with 310-Bell to cancel my landline, after porting here to FPL.
