You could buy long distance vouchers, or sign up for their DSL. The DSL for me was better than the Bell option I was using because FPL's DSL is unlimited.

All Bell GAS wholesale providers in Ontario and Quebec will be affected by it, which unfortunately covers a fairly high percentage of the DSL providers in this region.

We at freephoneline at working very hard to overcome this in a means that shouldn't be too affecting to our users. More details will be released in the coming month surrounding this.

FPL-steve, please give us more details about what options are being looked at. I am dieing to know as many of us signed up under the terms of unlimited service AND the web site still promotes the service as being unlimited. It seems to me a bit misleading at this point don't you think???

At present time since UBB has not yet been put in place, nor had all the specifics finalized by the CRTC, all of our service offerings will remain as they are.

As soon as we have a clear direction on what path we will have to take with this, a public announcement will go out to our customers.

Unfortunately since all DSL providers will be affected by this change that the CRTC is allowing to happen, there might not be any brighter alternatives elsewhere. Rogers has also begun their preliminary filing on their own UBB for Rogers and TPIA customers too. We at freephoneline will always work to bring you the best prices we can, and the continued support in our DSL service also helps us continue to grow and expand our free phone service network :)
