Calls goes directly to my Voicemail

Post by manno81 »

Hi I have this problem since december 24th 2010. When ever some one calls me it goes directly to my voicemail. I was tryin' to change the standard message to a personnal one. I change my name also for my voicemail and since that I don't receive any calls it goes directly to my voicemail. Can someone help me. Thanx

May we know a little more about your setup?

Who is your ISP? Are you using our software or another device (If a device, what model and/or firmware?)

If you are using a software phone of any kind, make sure your firewall rules are still in place; If you're using a device, screenshots of your setup would surely help us quite a bit. You may also want to check your forwarding and other options related to voicemail as you said when you changed one setting, another apparently 'broke'.

I'm not the original poster but the same thing is happening to me.

I set the Follow Me to "Always Forward" and set the forwarding number to my cellphone and my cellphone only rings once and then it goes to the FreePhoneLine.ca voice mail. I then changed the Follow Me number to a landline phone and the same thing happens which is that the landline phone rings once and it immediately goes to the FreePhoneLine.ca voice mail.

My landline phone number and my cellphone number is a Montreal area code whereas my FreePhoneLine.ca number is a Calgary number if this makes a difference.

I've disconnected my SoftPhone so the ISP shouldn't make any difference at this point since I'm only using the "Always Forward" in the Follow Me and my laptop is off.

When I'm using the SoftPhone, I can make calls and I can speak but when users call me, it also just goes directly to voice mail. The Softphone doesn't ring and neither does my forwarding numbers.

Any ideas/suggestions?

I have spa2102 and I was using it with a voip provider other than freephoneline and I accidently entered *78 instead of *98 when trying to retreive voicemail. This activated the Do Not Disturb feature so the phone never rings and everything goes to voicemail. The easy way to turn it off is to enter *79 but defaulting all the spa2102 setup items will also work. This changes "DND setting"entry on spa2102 user page from yes back to no.
