Are you using a headset to talk, or speakers and a microphone?

I've used both methods...but yesterday, I got through OK to Sutton with minor break-ups in the connection.

Are you going through a router, or straight into a modem/router?

QoS could be one thing that might cause this if network traffic is fighting for priority. If you're going through a router, try connecting the modem directly to your PC and see if you notice any difference. If you do, get back to us with your hardware information and we can guide you towards setting things up better.

If not, then keep note of the date/time/call details of a couple calls with quality issues and PM them to me. I can find these call logs and look into things a little deeper from our end then.

I've made a couple of calls....here's a brief description of what happened: One call ( Dec 11/12) was made to Sutton, ON, on my laptop, using a headset, no router was used. The connection was pretty good, but it did break up throughout our conversation. The other call ( Dec19) was made to Sutton again, using my desktop, with the router connected and I was using a separate mike and speakers. I could hear the party I was calling, but they couldn't hear me. The router is set up so I can use my laptop and my desktop pc at anytime, separately or together. I have to unplug the cable feed from the router and plug it into the laptop directly. For some reason, I cannot hear anything on my headset when plugged into my desktop, although the mike works. No echoes were heard on both calls. Cheers.

Made call on Dec 25....@ 12:20 with router and headset..good connection...only didn't hear the phone ring. (laptop)
...............Dec 29....@ 4:15 with router...mike and speakers separately...could hear other party but they couldn't hear me...echoed at the other end. (desktop)
...............Dec 29///@4;23...used router and headset...good connection....(laptop)
I hope this is enough info to help solve the problem.

More info:...I called on Jan 1 and the connection failed twice, but then it connected and was good.( 11:50)
Called Jan 4, around 8"15 pm and couldn't make a connection 6 times...on my laptop and 3 times on my desktop.
Called Jan5 at 4"44 ...could not make any connection..
Called Jan 9 at 1:05 connected for a few minutes, then things went dead....couldn't reconnect after...
I'm afraid that this system is not working too well....even though it is free for me..I don't think that I will continue to use it. I hate to be negative.!!!
