When is FREE DSL coming??

Apparently, there is a company in the U.S. that is offering FREE DSL SERVICE!! (http://news.cnet.com/Free-DSL-service-o ... 35148.html) When will Freephoneline offer the same thing for Canada??

Uhm... that article was dated back in year 2000. Doubt free DSL WILL ever happen.

Unfortunately the operating costs of DSL are simply too high to ever be able to offer it for free

NetZero tried it and failed. Currently they offer a limited free, ad supported service, on top of paid access.

Until freephoneline can get a firm grasp on the Canadian market and expand to all or most of Canada to justify southern expansion, I doubt we'll be moving for quite some time, if at all. We'd like to master our own domain before taking on any other challenges
