unable to register

I am curious, my SPA941 phone has been working for a long time, without any issues. Then almost out of no where, with no changes to anything, internet, router, phone, nothing, it just stopped working. My whistle-phone was working just fine without any issues through all of this. I tried making some tweaks, to no avail, finally what ended up fixing the issue was changing the SIP port from 5060 to 5061. The whistle-phone line was using 5061, so I changed it to 5060. Everything works now, whistle-phone included. What I am curious about, is sometime in between Wednesday and Friday, did FPL make any system changes or anything? I am wondering why it all of a sudden just stopped after working for so long? And when the port that stopped working for FPL, why is it working just fine for whistle-phone?

Really curious to find and answer to this, and to notice if anyone else has experienced any similar issues.

This is not a Freephoneline issue, this is a NAT issue. Your router decided to release the route from your ATA SIP device to the Internet for whatever reason. This is why you should manually assign one RTP port not used by any other device, and one SIP port to each ATA.

That was setup, not only was port 5060, and 5061 both forwarded (TCP and UDP) to the ATA device, the ATA device is setup with a DHCP reservation so it pulls the same IP each and every time, and it was placed in the DMZ. Besides, rebooting the router and the ATA would have restored the route when the phone started to re-register after the reboot, both were done days before what I did above.
