Got and setup freephoneline few weeks ago, and have been going thru the testing phase, before getting rid of landline. Local calls as well as provincial work ok, no problem with anything. International calls are not going thru. After the number is dialed, the phone is just quiet. The other side receives ring, and when they pickup, the can't hear anything.
SIP setup via online config file (found in forum). Any suggestions? (numbers being dialed are 011-421-36-xxxxxx, 011-421-53-xxxxxx). Thanks.
EDIT: Credit is in the account, have been charged for $0.09 already.

Re: Can't call international
Just to confirm a few things, what type of device are you calling through? Softphone? ATA? Can you provide some details/screenshots of the setup?

Re: Can't call international
ATA - PAP2NA.
The setup as been completed as per sticky : http://forum.freephoneline.ca/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1243
The ATA is connected to RT-N16 with Tomato USB on it. All devices have latest firmware.
No QOS setup yet on the router.
Yesterday called 613 area code 3 times. 1st time - call went ok. 2nd time - same problem as with the itnernational calls. After dialing no ring, no sound.
Changed DHCP on the ATA to static IP, added DMZ on the router. Rebooted all. 3rd call was ok.
I will try few internatinoal numbers tonight, see how it goes, and if any changes.
What details/screenshot do you want to see?

Re: Can't call international
Do all calls go through fine if you restart everything? I noticed you mentioned the 3rd call worked after the hardware reboot.
I'm leaning towards this being a possible configuration issue with Tomato, in that it's closing/filtering SIP ports. I believe there's a Tomoto QoS setup guide here:
http://forum.freephoneline.ca/viewtopic ... lit=tomato
Although you may also need to port forward your SIP port 5060 in the router to the ATA too (I'm not familiar with Tomato, perhaps one of the experts here can chime in?)

Re: Can't call international
well, in the process of trying to configure things up, I have managed screw things even more. Now no matter where I dial, noone can hear me. I hear them ok, but they do not.
I have assigned static IP to the ATA, setup port forwarding on TOMATO for 5060-61, 6060-61, 10000-20000 for TCP/UDP. I have added ATA into DMZ. NO effect. I've also tried QOS with high importance for all ATA trafic, but no change.
At this point, I am ready to rest, and reconfigure both the router and ata. Maybe flash back RT-N16 to stock, and see if I can get it to work.

Re: Can't call international
What I would do is power down everything, the modem, the router, and the ATA for about 5 minutes. It probably would not be a bad idea to reset the router back to default also. Keep the DD-WRT firmware though. I would then turn on the modem, wait 20 seconds, turn on the router, wait 30 seconds, and then turn on the ATA. I would then log into the ATA SIP device, and check what the ATA is using for a SIP port, and what the ATA is using for an RTP port, and get the router to port forward those 2 ports to the ATA. You do not need to forward any other ports to get freephoneline working on that ATA.

Re: Can't call international
thanks to all, finally got it to work over the weekend. After mucking around on router and ata for few days, everythnig seems to be ok. Sad thing is, that looking over the config, I can't see what is different between now and then
Also, even without QOS the quality is very good on new teksavvy extreme cable. I'll be setting it up anyway to proof for the "heavy use" in the future.
