Anonymous Calls
Ever since I have been using FPL (2 weeks now), I've noticed that I get calls where there is no one on the other line. When I pick up, its just silent. Thanks!

Re: Anonymous Calls
Does it happen to be one ring? I know our phones do that when we receive a voicemail. With our previous provider (Rogers) that used to happen within 5 seconds of the person finishing leaving the voicemail. But, with FPL it can happen anytime within a 10 minute period because that is how often the update the message waiting indicator. Maybe this doesn't apply to your situation. But, I know with myself, I'll often end up answering that one-ring only to discover that it wasn't really a call.

mitwtim ... I have been keeping an eye on this, and yes it does seem to be when there is a voicemail. Is there a way to turn this notification off?

Re: Anonymous Calls
I don't think so, but maybe someone from FPL can comment.
I actually just created a "suggestion" post about improving the MWI response time. For me it tricks me into answering because it can do the single ring up to 10 minutes after someone leaves the message. If this one ring was left right as soon as a message is left as is done with other providers (Rogers and Bell for sure, and I suspect many others) then this probably wouldn't even be an issue for you, too.

Maybe if several people express an interest in having the MWI improved it will get some more attention.
