Hi!
I have a big problem.
I have installed a Voip Linksys SPA2102 at my aunt's house.
I can make calls, but to receive calls its a problem.
When someone call me, the phone doesn't rings, but in the caller's phone, after 3 rings it sounds like the line was busy (beep beep beep)
I tried to restart my VoIp box and its always the same thing.
I have tried to dial *73 to check if it was transfered, nothing, nada.
What is the problem???
Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: Unable to receive calls
It appears like your router is not able to properly forward SIP and RTP ports from the internet to your ATA, a common NAT issue. Some routers cannot route SIP VOIP traffic very well. A firmware update could be needed, or you might have to manually forward ports to your ATA with the router. There are also some routers can never do SIP VOIP properly. What do you have for a router?

Re: Unable to receive calls
Hi!
I have a D-Link DI-524 router.
I have tried one again to unplug everything and it worked for about 1 minute, after, when i tried again to call with my cell to my FPL number, its the same thing, no voicemail, nothing...
I really don't know what is the problem, thats weird.
Thanks in advance for your help

Based on your description your router is definitely not playing nicely with VOIP. This is fixable, but you'll have to start by following the steps bridonca suggested.

Hi!
I will try tonight to plug my modem directly into my ATA.
Let's see if it will work.
Thank you for your help!

Re: Unable to receive calls
Hi!
So i have checked everything
The problem was the router.
Actually my ATA is plugged directly into my modem, and the router is plugged into the ATA.
Like that, everything works.
Thanks for your help

The DI-524 is quite a legacy model router, from long before VOIP started becoming mainstream in the home world. You'd likely find that a new router wouldn't cause any headache, or a few tweaks, such as port forwarding, on the DI-524 would likely get it going.
