Hi,
I am trying to setup freephonelne config with a Cisco UC520. I have configured hte registration settings and it seems to work as the registration status shows registered. although, when I dial out, I get this account number is not valid!
Anyone has any experience with configuring the sip settings for FPL with cisco? I also have a windows box running 3CX, and I can get that registered fine and working with outgoing calls. Although, I am not able to get incoming calls working.
Some research online showed people having difficulties with the same message as I get on Cisco - when they are using it with asterisk and other PBX, they changed the user agent to Mozilla and it worked. I wanted to see if anyone here had any experience using this with a UC500 device?
Also, if FPL supports digest authentication or does it require the user authentication defined?
Any suggestions/guidance would be great
Thanks
UC520 & Freephoneline

Re: UC520 & Freephoneline
Hi Kris,
Is this deleted or moved to another section? I was going through the forum rules, but couldnt find what I violated! The mistake I can see if possibly posting in the wrong section?
I was on the phone with FPL support who asked me to post my question here, as they werent able to guide me?
Being new, I may have incorrectly listed it in a wrong section. Please let me know

Not a problem, the rules are specific to the Device Configuration Sharing section: http://forum.freephoneline.ca/viewforum.php?f=15

Re: UC520 & Freephoneline
update on this.
i was able to get the message dissapear! not sure why, but seems like FPL requires some sort of useragent description?
i had to introduce the sip profile to rename the user agent to mozilla. this worked for people using asterisk, hence i thought of implementing the same...
i now have outbound, but wiht a problem! I cannot hear anything coming in..
i tried test calls between the fpl and my cell, and i could hear on my cell, but nothing on phone....
it states to make sure you have ports open and forwared.. i have required ports taken from fpl site - 13000, 13001, 5060, 5061, 6060 and 6061 allowed...
again the same settings wokr fine with voip.ms - incoming and outgoing work well...
with fpl - i dont get any incoming calls + on outgoing i cannot hear the remote party!!
any suggestions?

Re: UC520 & Freephoneline
I don't know if there is any further updates on this.
Out of curiosity, what type of software level is the UC520 at? Is it connected directly to your internet source or does it pass through other switches or routers? If your DSL or cable modem isn't directly connected to the UC520, maybe that's worth a shot?
What type of phone is setup with the UC520? Is the connection between the phone and the UC520 using SIP or another proprietary protocol? Do you have multiple phones setup on the UC520, and if so, do they work when calling each other? Are they setup to use the exact same protocol, or is one using SIP the other not using SIP? On the UC520 phone, are you hearing blank nothing or static/garbage? If you're not receiving incoming calls, and you can't hear anything on a successfully placed outbound call, it sounds very much like the data packets aren't getting back to you.
I am very interested in the outcome on whether or not you can get this to function, I am thinking very hard about getting a UC320, and seeing if I can get that setup to work.
