I don't think this has ever been asked.
When with Bell Canada, our phone number is listed in the phone book and on internet (Canada 411). If we pay a monthly fee of $2,00 then our number is confidential and doesn't appear anywhere.
What about FPL? 1) Is the number we get at sign up listed anywhere?
2) what if we port our Bell number that was listed? Will it stay listed in the next phone book and on Canada 411?

Re: Non listed phone number
VOIP numbers aren't listed in any whitepages phone books. This might be something we could offer as a paid feature in the future as it does cost us money to submit to white pages.

Or, you could list it as a 'feature'. I'm happy that my number is not published anywhere.

Re: Non listed phone number
I just did a reverse look up with my FPL number and it is indeed NOT listed. But what if it's a listed Bell number that is ported to FPL? Will that one not be listed in the next phone book (I guess not as if you have to pay then you pay every year for a same number)?
I think it could be a great deal to offer people for their number to be listed. I really don't know how many would be interested but let's say it cost 10¢ per number to be added and FPL charges a one time fee of $1,00. That extra 90¢ could go towards further development of the network.

You're correct in that if it is currently listed and then ported to us, the next update of the phone book it won't be listed in.callopsitte_himself wrote:I just did a reverse look up with my FPL number and it is indeed NOT listed. Hopefully this feature will be available in the future, and you'll hear it here first when it is
