Multiple ATA

Hi!
I would like to have an information.
I have freephoneline at home, but is it possible to add freephoneline to my cottage. Is it possible to have 2 ATA's connected on the same phone account, like that i can use the phone line at home and at my cottage with the same phone number and each home has is ATA. I would really appreciate if i can have the 2 ATA online at the same time, it would really help me.

I've read many times for an ATA and the softphone that both cannot register at the same time.

I temporarily lend my daughter my FPL line with an ATA (PAP2)for her home. Sometimes though I need to use FPL and I have a 2Wire modem/router (like thosefrom Bhell) with ATA integrated and it works. So my daughter's ATA and mine are plugged in at the same time in different houses and it does work. Only thing I don't know about making calls at the same time (we both rarely use it).

you can register multiple ATA's with freephoneline.ca, at least 2 anyway. the problem is there are only 2 outgoing lines, and only 1 incoming line. So with 2 ATA devices, you can make phone calls, as long as only 2 lines are used.

If you are looking for incoming calls, then it becomes impractical. Only one of the ATA's will accept incoming calls, and which one will is a bit random.

I found some solutions though. One was to get a timer or timers. Probably not as useful for you, but it was great for me. My home ATA would be timed off when I was at work, so the work ATA worked great. Did the same thing to the work ATA in reverse.

My current solution is to use a VOIP provider like Voxalot. Voxalot can ring to multiple devices as one account, which is nice. You can also register freephoneline through Voxalot, and for $15 a year, allow for a freephoneline incoming call through Voxalot. Kind of weird to set up, but it would get the results you want. As a bonus, you also get a web call back feature.
