freephoneline subscriber sip uri

Post by Sergo »

Hi
I was wondering if it's possible to reach a freephoneline number (whether a subscriber has purchased sip settings or not)
using sip uri, something like number@voip.freephoneline.ca?
Best regards,
Sergo.

Unfortunately our service does not support SIP URI functionality at this time. This may be available at a later time, at which point we will notify our users.

So even a subscriber who purchased sip settings could not be reached via his
number@voip.freephoneline.ca! That's a biggie, no e164,org for FPL users!
But softphones and ata registered at FPL somehow have to communicate between each other without going outside of
Fibernetics network, so there should be some internal addressing scheme?
Best regards,
Sergo.

You can always tether your FPL account to a SIP-switching service, or your own VoIP PBX even to gain some sip-to-sip options... but know, it technically would not be over your FPL.
