I have a Freephoneline Calgary number, the incoming calls work, but any outgoing calls give me the "This call is not covered by your tarriff plan" message. My ATA is a Grandstream Handytone 496. What is even more interesting is that I can make calls with the exact same account through Voxalot. Would you have an idea what the problem would be?
Another issue I noticed is that my outgoing Caller ID number is not longer displayed on reciever's phones. I am not concerned about the Caller ID name.
This call is not covered by your tarriff plan!

OK, I goofed! On the Grandstream Handytone 496, I entered area code 902 as my Home NPA, hoping I could call Halifax numbers with only 7 digits. It did not work out as planned, other than confusing the heck out of freephioneline! All is well now!
Actually, kinda. The outgoing Caller ID is is still flaky, but I can live with that.

I don't know much about your Grandstream ATA but now that things are working, perhaps you can check the manual for the dial plan. You can pay with the dialplan where it will hopefully auto-add your area code so you're back to 7-digit dialing.
