Caller ID shows Anonymous

Hello,

I an new to FPL and am using the softphone for now. Everything works great except the caller ID on the soft phone. When I receive a call, it pops up as Anonymous. I called from my landline and cell phone - and neither have callerid blocked.

The number does show up in the missed call log.

Any ideas on what the problem is? I have forwarded all ports suggested and the phone conversation works great.

I am using version 3.0.3.

So is anyone else having problems with the callerId on the softphone? I tried connecting the computer directly to the modem to bypass the router and it still only shows "Anonymous is call" - so not a router problem. I tried it on the laptop and the desktop, so it is not a computer computer specific problem.

Can anyone confirm that CallerId is working on their softphone version 3.0.3?

Update: I added my landline number to the contacts with a name. Now, when I call from that number, it shows the name in the pop up callerID. So, it looks like there might be two issues with the softphone. First, the callId only shows the name. Is there a way to get the phone number to show as well? Second, the name on the CID does not seem to be getting through.

I plan on switching to ATA, but want to make sure that Caller ID works before I do so since it is a must have. If callerID does not work on the softphone, what are the chances that it will work with ATA?

I don't normally use the softphone, I have bought config files, but yesterday I was testing something and yes, when I called in to the softphone it did come up as 'anonymous'. This is the same from my mobile and another FPL number. Caller ID works fine on my house line, so when you move to an ATA you should be fine.

It is strange that the softphone does not work as well as an ATA (or PBX in my case) but there you go. I'm not sure how long this has been like this, as I mentioned I don't usually have it running, but I can confirm that something is not quite right with it.
