CID 1-888-926-1332

Post by ma678 »

Hi, has anyone got calls from 1-888-926-1332? I get calls from this number every day, and most of them are automated ads. The weird part is its CID shows my name.

Need helps, please!

Thanks.

I see your posts elsewhere online too... I don't know about that number, but a couple things:
- FPL doesn't share/sell your info
- I'm sure most people would agree with me that we believe FPL when they say that for various reasons
- Login to your account on the web and check the Logs - does this call show up?

If YES:
- Is this a "new" number you got from FPL? If so, perhaps it was recycled and that 'ad' agency got a hold of the number

If NO:
- They may be calling your SIP line directly, bypassing FPL... more info is needed on your setup

Thank you for your suggestions.

I got my number about a year ago. No complaint before until I started receiving calls from this number recently.

This number has never shown on my call logs. I have never disclosed my SIP anywhere, either. I have no idea who can call my SIP line directly.

Am I the only one who gets disturbed? How come its CID shows my name? I do not save contact under FPL profile, neither do I on my Panasonic phone book.

It is very weird.

So it's not in your call logs, so it's not coming through FPL's server. It sounds like you must have port 5060 forwarded from your router to your SPA, someone has found that, and is trying to exploit it. All they are only get to do is annoy you. Check your SPA for a setting like "Only allow SIP from proxy" or similar. That would be one solution.
