I have been using FPL for some time now and had no serious issues other than some touchtone/DTMF mode problems. Because of DTMF problems and for ease of use, I have been using pbxes.org and everything worked fine. Since Aug 24, 2011, pbxes.org cannot register with FPL anymore. So I switched my ATA settings to register with FPL directly. Then Aug 25, I had broken voice calls. So I reset my router and ATA, then I completely lost connection. My ATA cannot register to FPL anymore!
The registration problem happened at the same time to two other people I know. I called FPL tech support. They were not helpful at all! I told them that my softphone can register, but my ATA cannot. They told me that we don't support other ATA's and we definitely do not support pbxes.org or asterisk. Well, my problem is that just since yesterday softphone can register, but my ATA cannot.
Tech support was not helpful at all. Has anyone else had issues lately? Any fixes or ideas are appreciated.
P.S.: I am using Linksys SPA3102 and no settings has changed.

Quoted from your post:
- I have been using pbxes.org and everything worked fine.
- Since Aug 24, 2011, pbxes.org cannot register with FPL anymore.
- So I reset my router and ATA, then I completely lost connection.
- My ATA cannot register to FPL anymore!
- P.S.: I am using Linksys SPA3102 and no settings has changed.
Here is an idea based on your statements.
Your SPA3102 is probably busted! Did you source it from ebay? Did you verify that it is an authentic Linksys product?
And maybe a fix...
Try your FPL Unlock Key on a different ATA that is proven to be working. If it works, replace your SPA3102.
BTW what FPL tech support told you are all true. Everybody is expected to know that they do not support ATA's not purchased from them, and I would consider the act of asking them for tech support for such would simply be, shall I say, stupid?

Re: ATA does not register anymore!
Sounds like it might be an account problem, although I did get an email from pbxes saying they had server problems a while back.
Download a softphone (I use the 3CX one) and try your settings in that. I don't mean the FPL softphone, but a voip softphone you can enter your details in.

Jake, I ruled out account setting issues based on the OP's statement above.akhailtash wrote: ... I told them that my softphone can register, but my ATA cannot. ...

Re: ATA does not register anymore!
I understand that the do not support different ATA's and no I did not buy it from eBay. I bought it from a reputable company. My ATA is perfectly working with other service providers.
Apparently, magically after I called them and got no good response, my ATA registered again and pbxes.org registers as well. Are they going after people who are not using their ATA or using pbxes??!
Oh, well, thanks.

Re: ATA does not register anymore!
I don't think that they are going after subscribers using pbxes.org or softpbxes (unless maybe they have reason to believe that it is abused).

We are not. We wouldn't sell our configuration file on it's own if we wanted people to only use our hardware!akhailtash wrote: Are they going after people who are not using their ATA or using pbxes??!

Re: ATA does not register anymore!
The only reason I mentioned it is because with the FPL softphone I log in with the same details that I log into my FPL admin page on their site. My ATA uses a different password to log in with from the config file I bought. I just thought using a 3rd party softphone would be another way of checking the login details.cu2o2o2 wrote:Jake, I ruled out account setting issues based on the OP's statement above.akhailtash wrote: ... Seems to be all fixed now though!
