Calling Long Distance Disconnected

Hi,

I've been using FPL over 18 months and it's working great to call to the free calling cities. These are the devices that I'm using PAP2 and Linksys Wireless G WRT54GS router.

Two weeks ago, I found out that FPL has a good rate to call to Vietnam and I decided to buy FPL Long Distance Voucher. I started to call Vietnam and I'm getting disconnected exactly every 10 minutes of the call. I called back and got disconnected again exactly 10 minutes. There is no problem or issue when I'm calling to the free calling area. I wonder if any of you have this issue or ATA/router setting that you like to share. Thank you.

I don't have a direct solution for you on this, but it sounds awfully suspicious that it comes in 10-min chunks as you state. I would *HIGHLY* recommend contacting FPL customer service directly, either by phone or email (rather than this forum) and dealing directly with them. To my uneducated guess, it sounds to me like a network issue on FPL/Fibernetics side, perhaps even something deliberately built in. The only way to get an answer to this though, would be to get in touch with them and provide them with the times/dates and numbers called so that they can check back in their system and see what their network is doing and how it is handling the calls.

Hope this was helpful, even though I did not resolve your issue.

I find it unlikely that there is something wrong on your side of things of your local/free calling works correctly.

TheHardy is correct - please drop us a line so we can investigate what is causing these calls to drop after ten minutes. This certainly should not be happening and we will ensure it is investigated and repaired.
