Linksys PAP2T : can not access the Linksys page

Post by reganwyl@gmail.com »

hi, guys, I have a linksys internet phone adapter - model:PAP2T, last Friday, I tried to transfer my phone to freephoneline and need to reset my adapter. but unfortunately, I can not access the webpage of 192.168.2.197-it is the IP of my ATA, I did it from the following method:

- Plug in ATA and connect telephone into back of ATA
- Pick up the receiver, you may or may not get a dial tone
- PRESS **** 110 # on the keypad (this will give you the private IP of the ATA)
- Type the IP into your browser if you are on same private IP range

hope someone can help me solve the problem, I tried many different methods to log-in the page but failed.

Thanks.

Alright,

you may need to do a factory reset of your adapter to see if that works. Checking with a users manual might help you to figure out how to do this. Also, have you tried plugging your ATA directly into the modem as opposed to it being connected by a router? Perhaps trying a different internet connection might also help. That way, if you can get the adapter configured, you should be able to bring it back home and get a dial tone. If you find you still cannot get the number changed in your Linksys, please give us a call at 1.866.515.5550. Someone in technical support may be able to help you with possible resolutions. Reminder though, it is a third party device, so you may not be able to get too much technical support.
