Re: no service on my home phone
Hi col127,
There are no service problems that would cause this.
Please advise us more details of your setup along with what troubleshooting you have done. Someone should be able to chime in and offer some 'next steps'. Alternatively, feel free to call our support line from a mobile phone or secondary line.

Re: no service on my home phone
if this is not the corect board, please help me.
I bought your frephoneline program on 23may2011;
It was fine, the sound was clear, I could call people and they
could call me.
The only thing missing was the features
A few days later I signed up for your internet service
no problem there.
then on August 9th both internet and phone was shut down.
It was like being in jail, I could contact no one, no phone
no e-mail.and attached to an Oxygen tank.
four days later the Internet was restored.
the Phone is still out.Since then for my entire days
I have done nothing else but try to get the phone back.
I think I have exhausted every message board and forums,
that got in my way.
I have spoken to your people whenever someone
showed up here with a cell phone, and loan it to me for a little while
I have spoken to some of them by e-mail. To date nothing has helped.
could you please reconnect my Phone?
Thanking you sincerely.

Please be sure to read the rules - the board generally frowns upon hijacking someone else's posting with your own issues.
If you'd like to send myself or FPL-Lauren a PM, either of us would be glad to look into this for you. Please be sure to provide your account information so we can locate you in the system.

Re: no service on my home phone
hi steve,
i called tech support and they were NO help at all. told me to setup port forwarding which i already did a YEAR ago. and they are telling me it's my ata adapter - which i don't believe is the issue.
my phone line has been working fine for a year until last week when i did not receive a dial tone. what would cause that?
my ata adapter is a linksys PAP2T - this is plugged into a linksys WRT54g router that acts as a wireless bridge extension to my main network/router.
my cable modem (via rogers) is plugged into my main router which is an apple airport extreme. my airpot extreme has port mapping open for ports 5060, 5061, 16384, 16482.
this setup has worked perfectly for me for the past year.
when i log into my FPL account, the SIP setting shows as "disconnected"
on my ATA adapter, it says Can't connect to login server for the "registration state".
i've unplugged my ATA adapter for 20 seconds and plugged it back in (this was tech's support's recommendation)... and they asked me to add port mapping, which like i said before, already exists.
thanks for any help.

Re: no service on my home phone
i fixed the issue myself. did a reset on the ata adapter and rein put all the same settings. that did the trick.

problem resolved
I am happy that you were able to resolve your problem -- I quote back to you the above statement though ...col127 wrote: i called tech support and they were NO help at all. told me to setup port forwarding which i already did a YEAR ago. and they are telling me it's my ata adapter - which i don't believe is the issue.
Sometimes the tech's do know --- they did not specifically instruct you to init the ATA, but I would have thought (even though I do not have an ATA) that if a reboot of it failed, that re-initializing it might be the way to go.
Again, glad you are up and running again.
Perhaps we should add a "User Supplied Troubleshooting Guide" sticky topic to the forum somewhere for some of the more common problems that are encountered??
