Hello,
Currently I have VOIP home tel. number with Primus Canada (TalkBroadBand), and I am using ATA (D-Link DVG-1120M/PR V.A2) that I bought from Primus several years ago, but I would like to switch to FPL, and I have the following questions:
1- I am wondering if I can use the same D-Link DVG-1120M ATA for FreePhoneLine without any problem?
2- Is D-Link DVG-1120M ATA supporting all the features of FreePhoneLine and can give me the best call quality as other ATAs (PAP2)?
3- How about if upgrading firmware of my D-Link 1120M?
I read somewhere that it is possible to flash firmware of 1120M and convert it to 1120S (which works great with Asterisk):

Does it make any difference?
Thanks.

Re: Using D-Link DVG-1120M ATA with FreePhoneLine?
It is not worth wasting your time. This is a really old ATA! It will not be easy to flash to SIP firmware, and even if you could, you would have a buggy ATA. You can get a good ATA for less than $50 now. It is a sum of money, I agree, but your time and sanity also has to be worth something.
