Forwarding to US number with LD credit

Hi guys just want to know if I can set my line to forward to a US number if I have long distance credit applied to my line?

Yes you can!
You can actually forward to anywhere in the world now, keeping in mind that your long distance credit will be billed per minute for anywhere that isn't a free destination.

After reading this reply, I added a voucher to my account to forward my number to a US number. However, even after adding the long distance credit, I am still not able to add a US number to my Followme settings. What do I have to do to make it work?

What type of error are you getting?

I have the same situation as OP. "number cannot be used as a followme number" - 1415xxxxxx.

Funny that I had previously been able to do this - I have enough credit in my account.

Would you be able to provide the NXX of that 1415 number you're trying to add? ... First 3 digits after the area code.

The number I am having issues is 1-425-243-xxxx.

I too am having the same issue also... I am trying to forward to 1702241xxxx and getting the same problem. I have done this in the past... But now its not working...

Followme (Forwarding) has recently been restricted to it's previous state of Canada only after some unforeseen technical problems, currently we have no news on whether or not it will be re-enabled.

Any news now? I want to be able to forward to a US number (and pay LD, of course) frequently. I also want to be able to forward to an off-net number in Canada (705-924) and also get "The number can not be used as FollowMe number".

Any update? I'd like to be able to forward to my MagicJack when I travel (716) 804-xxxx . Also, is regular Call Forwarding as opposed to Follow Me available with FPL?

I'd use either one if it were available. Yes, I do have a voucher and I understand that my balance would be used for the call.

One ay or another...still an extremely satisfied user.

Same issue here, I tried to forward to my cell number abroad while I'm travelling and it doesn't take it
I have credits, so it really sucks
According to tech support they have the same problems with some numbers within Canada! what a joke!

Correct - only Canadian numbers in our free calling area will be accepted as valid follow-me numbers.

In the near future we should fully support paid follow-me calls for international and off-net numbers. I have no ETA on this being complete at this time.
