I've been having this issue off and on lately (as in at least a couple of months) but this evening it was pretty much constant. What happens is if I try to make a call, I don't hear the other side ringing, although it apparently is. I verified this by calling my cell. My cell rang but I couldn't hear the rings on my land line. If I picked up, I could hear the person on the land line but they couldn't hear me. Complete dead air. However, if I call voicemail (*98) it always works. I'm able to hear the voice prompts. I have voip.ms configured as a second line and it works 100% of the time. If a call doesn't go through correctly on FPL, I immediately switch to voip.ms and try successfully. I then switch back to FPL and get the same issue. Sometimes incoming calls don't connect either. My phone rings but I can't hear the calling party.
I'm using a Linksys PAP2T with a DIR-615 router flashed with DD-WRT firmware. No settings have changed on the router or the ATA and it worked great when I first got the service. I've restarted both devices many times. And the fact that sometimes calls DO go through without issues (about 30% of the time) leads me to believe the problem lies with FPL. Any suggestions?
