Follow Me & Iphone Apps

Hi, I am wondering if anyone can answer my questions:

1) Before I was not able to do Follow Me onto another FPL #, Has this changed?

2) I understand Follow ME cannot ring multiple phone #s at the same time...can this be a future feature?

3) Any iphone apps that has a call log of all my phonecalls to/from my FPL #? ..budphone?

4) Does FPL support Push Notificaiton for Groundwire, where it tells us of incoming calls when the App is closed? I assume this doenst take up much battery?

I can't answer all of these, but -

1. Nope, you still can't. At least not from their online admin. You should be able to do it if you do it through a PBX or within the ATA itself.

2. It's been talked about a bit but I don't think it is coming soon. The closest thing you can do easily is through pbxes.org

Yes Groundwire is the best app on iPhone, but sometimes your iPhone goes to sleep and drop the wifi so you won't receive call

Jake, in control panal, I was able to add other FPL #s in Follow Me just few minutes ago...thats why I wondered....

Would grounwire work good over 3g? That's my main issue right now.
So if there is a 3g connection, and Groundwire is FULLY closed, would I still get push notification? Thanks.

there is good and bad news,
good news is that yes, ground wire push notifications do inform you of a call coming.
bad news: most often by the time you have punched in your password on iphone and have started groundwire, the call will be gone. secondly the voice quality over 3g sucks, i bought ground wire, then bought the codec and bought the monthly nat bridge, total of about $24 or so, the voice quality over 3g still sucked, i was thinking may be i will ditch the minutes and just go fpl over groundwire ... not such a good idea....

I use Groundwire on Telus 3G has no problem at all

Not because of groundwire. Remember FPL only has 5 rings so when push notification wake up your iphone will cost about 2 rings and plus you punch your iphone password then gone another rings

So I am no surprise that you missed your call
