ok so far ...

Post by bernie »

ok, so i bought the configuration file and have sip clients running on my tablet and iphone and my pc has no problem sending/receiving calls. what I want to do next is setup the ata device (dvg-2001s) i just got and be able to use a regular phone as well. the question i have is whether i can receive calls on all devices at any time, right now it appears to follow the device I used last, is that correct or am i crazy?

No you are not crazy :)
You can only really register one device at a time directly with FPL. The call will usually go to the last one that registered. The devices probably will keep re-registering so they will keep stealing the registration from each other.

If you want to register them all at once through your FPL account, then look into pbxes.org

thanks jake, i like the idea of the calls following me around, i'm wondering if i set up my ata device i will lose this capability ... know anything about it? :D ah well, not to push my luck and your response greatly appreciated, i have a dvg-2001s by dlink all hooked up behind my router, i managed to get to the ata configuration section alright but don't know if any of the protocols emitted by the hardware are on a timely basis, causing maybe the ata to steal the connection without me actually picking up the phone--
