A VOIP app that I would recommend personally is either Viber, 3CX or any of the following:lifeisfun wrote:I don't think you can, pay for configuration file and use voip app.

I haven't tried it myself since I don't have an Android smartphone, but I hope this helps.

SIP Droid used to work. Now it wont register at all. CSIPSimple works one way for FPL. No voice in or no calls received. Just keeps on ringing.
But same client work for IPCOMMS account without any problems.

Re: Install Softphone in my android?
I had bad luck with Viber a few days ago, it worked, but not well. Have been setting up and using 3CX for ANdroid with my SGS2 and voip.ms account this morning and had some success with using it on 3G, although not perfect.
As for the original poster, the first reply is correct, you are not going to be able to use 3CX, etc., unless you have a configuration file. Otherwise you'll have to use something like Skype or Viber for ANdroid, with the latter you will have to enroll all the people you want to talk to as Viber contacts first. That's what I did but the call quality through 3G just wasn't acceptable, however Skype through 3G was fine.

Smartphone SIP phone apps
Hi everyone,
This thread is for anyone who has suggestions on what softphone/sip phone they suggest for people to try on their smartphones (please keep in mind the freephoneline does not provide technical support for third party products, this is simply a list of options for you to try out on your phones). Also, you will have to have the configuration file to be able to set up the app for usage as well as have a data plan on your cell phone plan.
Please, if possible, mention what OS the app is designed for.
Here are few to get you started:
