pfSense & FPL, anyone using this combo?

Post by tbrummell »

Just switched out my tired DD-WRT router with a diskless/fanless box running pfSense. 3 of my 4 SIP providers are working fine through this firewall, 1 isn't, which is the wife's FPL line. My Google-Fu shows that someone reported this on the pfSense forums as well, with not much of a solution. I've done packet captures on the public & internal sides, I see the invite come from FPL, but it does not get passed to the internal as near as I can tell. I have rulkes set for 5060, 5061 and the IP of the FPL server, nothing helps. It's a long shot but was hoping someone here may use pfSense & FPL.

I haven't yet, but I'd be willing to troubelshoot with you.
First thing's first though, have you tried forcing your wife's account to connect on an alternative port such as 6060/6061?

FPL doesn't let you change the SIP port, so I'm not sure what you are asking. Like I said, I see the Invite arrive on 5060, it just doesn't get passed on through. Anything else arriving on 5060 is forwarded to my Asterisk server, something specific with FPL is causing it not to work.
