Re: Flexible Follow Me & Voice Mail Options
They already have that in the user details configuration.
What i would like to have is an option to change the ring tone, that bell sound is grating on the nerves.

Re: Flexible Follow Me & Voice Mail Options
There's no option in user details except to copy, forward, or none. The one in follow me is to set how soon to go into voice mail after rining the second number. It seems currently it's about 7 rings before it goes into follow me mode, then 7 rings before voice mail.
To clarify, it would be useful to set how many rings before declaring I'm not available.

Re: Flexible Follow Me & Voice Mail Options
That sounds like a good idea.
Ring duration can usually be changed in the ATA depending on which model you have, I will definately pass that idea along to the programmers though.

Re: Flexible Follow Me & Voice Mail Options
I would wish to have the option to follow me to more then one phone number,
like if i don't answer at the first one after a number of rings, then it should follow me at the second number, and so forth.
also to be able to ring all the numbers at the same time, the freephoneline number and the follow me number/s
Thank You

Re: Flexible Follow Me & Voice Mail Options
Yes so what you are saying is instead of "Ring then Voicemail", "Ring then Forward" etc..
You would have those options, then say "Ring then Forward x [X]" where [X] is any number of times to forward and you could select the numbers so if you typed 4 in there, it would show as:
Forward 1: 416 XXX XXXX
Forward 2: 289 XXX XXXX
Forward 3: 519 XXX XXXX
Forward 4: 905 XXX XXXX
Sounds like a good idea!
I'll notify the programmers but we are working on some video features with the softphone right now so it may not show up right away!
Thanks for the great idea.

Re: Flexible Follow Me & Voice Mail Options
The options for Follow Me are a bit confusing. To save the time of trying out the different settings, can you better explain what the options are and what they do?

Re: Flexible Follow Me & Voice Mail Options
Sorry Mike I should have been clearer.
That above post was an example of one of the future options that will be abailable on FPL.
The idea is for people who want to forward to more than one place simutaniously (at the same time), meaning that when someone calls the freephoneline number it rings on their cell phone, alternate home phone, etc, all at the same time. Whichever phone is picked up first, will have the call forwarded to it.
Currently you can only select to Always forward, Never Forward, or When Unavailable FollowMe - This last one is for when your softphone is logged off, your computer is off, or your ATA is unplugged.
Currently you will only see three options:
Never - Never forwards.
When Unavailable /FollowMe - When the device, whichever it be (computer or ATA) is off, it will forward.
Always /Forward - Always forwards to the number you specified.
To expand on this post, if you just want to extend the ring time before it goes to voicemail, simply enter a bogus phone number starting with 1-AREACODE-0000000 without the hyphens of course, they select "Always /Forward/" then select the number of rings you want before it goes to voicemail.
- One (1) ring is about Six (6) seconds.
Regards,

Regards,
Just see this post and it was making sence to me to forward all phone call directly to voicemail. My wish is when softphone is off, I would like to transfer everything directly to voicemail and then I will receive the message by email. But when I put the dummy number in FOLLOW ME, I keep getting a fast busy ringtone when I call my FPL number. If softphone is opened, it ring for about 6 times and then it goes to voicemail.
So do you have any idea on how I could transfer phone call directly to voicemail without having to go throught a landline ou mobile?
Thank your for your help.

Re: Flexible Follow Me & Voice Mail Options
When you log into freephoneline.ca don't set a forward number and don't set any forward options. This way, when your softphone isn't connected it will go directly to voicemailducs wrote:Hi,admin wrote: To expand on this post, if you just want to extend the ring time before it goes to voicemail, simply enter a bogus phone number starting with 1-AREACODE-0000000 without the hyphens of course, they select "Always /Forward/" then select the number of rings you want before it goes to voicemail.

To add or change FollowMe number
Only way to do this is web interface or can call remotely to VM access number and thru some option?

The only option we have right now is via the web interface.

Re: Flexible Follow Me & Voice Mail Options
Is it too difficult to add or change followeme option via VM option?
Could such option be add in future development?
If its done then I could use it with my cell phone, one number unlimited calls.

It is possible yes, and fairly easy. Yes. Currently we are working on quite a few changes that will bring a lot of enhancements to all of our users.
